Consulting Director- Galileo Life Sciences
Experienced hire with 2-3+ years of experience in a reputable management consulting firm or investment bank, in a strategy or business development role.

Role

Our work spans science, business strategy, and finance, and you will lead multidisciplinary teams involving senior advisors and external experts. As a Consulting Director you will lead client projects, supervise teams, and act as the primary interface for the client. You will frequently interact with industry executives, entrepreneurs, and investors in the life sciences industry. As part of this role, you will: 

      • Oversee team activities and project delivery: Your team might, for example, help bring breakthrough medical technology to market, accelerate the growth of an established company or scout opportunities for an investment firm. Under the guidance of senior advisors, you will lead the team in successful delivery of projects. You will also play a key role in pitches to potential investors and acquirers of our biotech clients.
      • Contribute to business development and growth of the firm: We are a small firm with big ambitions. As a senior member, you will also contribute to its growth and to shaping its future. You will play a key role in recruitment, networking, development of junior team members, internal initiatives, and business development.

We want everyone to grow with the firm. This role could be for you a bridge among the biotech/MedTech industry, management consulting, and investment banking or a path toward becoming a partner in the firm. We create an individualized training and development plan for each team member reflecting their career objective. If you already have the necessary accreditations or acquire them as part of your training program with us, you may also become an Investment Banking Representative affiliated with our partner firm Galileo Global Securities.

Requirements

We are looking for highly talented individuals who are capable of bridging science and business while addressing a mix of strategy, finance, and transaction issues.

Our recruitment standards are demanding and include:

      • A university degree from a top-tier institution, graduate degree is preferred
      • Business education or experience, ideally an MBA
      • Technical or scientific education or experience, ideally in life sciences
      • 5+ years of relevant professional experience
      • 2-3+ years of experience in a reputable management consulting firm or investment bank in a strategy or business development role
      • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage projects
      • Strong communication skills and executive presence
      • Strong analytical skills and ability to think conceptually.

We also welcome more experienced applicants and can offer them roles reflecting their tenure.

Compensation

Salary range: $180,000-$260,000 per year plus bonus.

Consultant- Galileo Life Sciences
Early career management consultants or life sciences consultants with business education or experience.

As a Consultant, you will be a key contributor to client projects by driving your workstream within a project while collaborating with other team members. You will interact with industry executives, entrepreneurs, and investors in the life sciences industry. Your role includes:

      • Delivery of client projects: you will be a key member of a team who might, for example, help bring breakthrough medical technology to market, accelerate the growth of an established company or scout opportunities for an investment firm. Under the guidance of your engagement manager and firm’s senior member, you will independently lead the successful delivery of key workstreams within projects. You will also play a role in developing pitches to potential investors and acquirers of our biotech clients.
      • Contribute to Business development and growth of the firm: We are a small firm with big ambitions. You have the opportunity to contribute to its growth and to shaping its future by playing a role in recruitment, networking, development of junior team members, internal initiatives, and business development.
